Q: Do you have a registry?
We won’t be having a traditional registry. If you’d like to give a gift, we’d greatly appreciate a cash contribution toward our future (vacations) together.
Q: Are kids invited?
We really do love your kids, but our wedding will be an adults-only celebration. We hope you take the opportunity to enjoy a fun night off with us!
Q: Is there a hotel block?
We didn’t reserve a formal hotel block since there are tons of great hotels and Airbnbs around Halifax, many close to the venue. We do recommend booking sooner rather than later though — Halifax is a happening place.
Q: What’s the dress code?
Dress code is cocktail. Basically: look nice, feel good, and come ready to celebrate.
Q: When do I need to RSVP by?
Please RSVP by August 15 so we can finalize numbers with the venue re: food, drinks, napkins, and all the other wedding things we didn’t know existed until now.
Q: Can I bring a plus-one?
If your invitation includes a guest, their name will appear when you RSVP. We wish we could invite everyone, but space (and budgets) are unfortunately real.
Q: Will the ceremony and reception be at the same location?
Yes! Once you arrive, you can settle in and enjoy the evening without having to travel between venues.
Q: Will there be food and drinks?
Absolutely. There won’t be a full sit-down meal, but we would never make people dress up and not feed them. Appetizers will be served…and the bar is to your left when you enter :)
Q: Can dietary restrictions be accommodated?
Please let us know about any allergies or dietary restrictions when you RSVP and we’ll do our best to accommodate them.
Q: Can I take photos?
Of course — we’d love for you to capture memories and share the fun. We may ask guests to keep phones tucked away during the ceremony so everyone can stay present in the moment.
Q: What’s parking like?
Some on-street parking is available. We’ll share more details closer to the wedding date so nobody has to circle the block in formalwear.
Q: What should I expect from Halifax weather?
If you know Halifax, you know you can't predict the weather. Bringing a light jacket is probably a good idea.
Q: Who should I contact if I have questions?
Feel free to reach out to either of us anytime. Fair warning: there’s a decent chance Nick is napping.
